BEGINNING MANDOLIN: JAMMING AND SOLOING
Bluegrass, swing, jazz, old time, classical, folk and rock-the mandolin does
them all. Learn melodies in several keys by ear and with tablature while
expanding your repertoire. The mandolin is perfect for playing fiddle tunes
and harmonized melodies. Guitarists will find that mandolin rhythm skills
complement their existing technique. You'll learn chords and movable chord
shapes, how to improvise a solo, how to back up a singer, and tips for
jamming with other instruments.
