Leslie
Brown is now teaching piano at Swallow Hill as a member of our music
faculty. She will be teaching piano to students ages five and up and
specializes in children and teen instruction. Leslie focuses in teaching
classical, contemporary, pop, and jazz piano. She strongly believes in
helping kids find passion and inspiration for playing music and using
those concepts as the foundation for their artistic endeavors.
Leslie comes to us as a piano performance major from University of
Colorado at Denver.
Her love for music inspired her to study a vast range of styles including classical, contemporary, blues, jazz, pop, New Orleans and Dixie jazz. Concurrently, she is play piano and sing with the two top ensembles the University has to offer: the CU Denver Jazz Ensemble, directed by Drew Morrell, and the CU Denver Claim Jumpers, a highly acclaimed Dixie Jazz group. Leslie continues to perform and sing outside of school at weddings, private events and sits in with various musicians around town.
