Denver — In celebration of the 50th anniversary of The Kingston Trio,
Denver-based entertainer David Peel is delivering a special Kingston Trio
Tribute performance at Swallow Hill Music Association on Sunday, November 18 at
7:30 p.m. He'll be joined by a host of musicians and singers to perform the
music that has influenced at least two generations.
A native of Nashville, David Peel
has had a long-time association with The Kingston Trio with the distinction of
being one of only two individuals to fill in as lead singer (2003) for founding
member, Bob Shane. He first joined Shane in 1968 as a member of The Shane Gang.
Since then, David has recorded three solo albums, Move Two Mountains,
I’ll Sing On, and Glory Bound. As a young actor, he played roles in
the television series "The Virginian" and "Daniel Boone." In 1975, David starred
with Lily Tomlin and Keith Carradine in Robert Altman’s classic film,
"Nashville." His Kingston Trio Tribute promises an unforgettable evening for
music lovers of all ages.
