DENVER, COLO. (2/7/08) -- Swallow Hill is pleased to welcome back Patty Larkin, who brings a new album, Watch the Sky, about which the New York Times raved in a recent review. "Using modest means, Ms. Larkin gets profound results," they note. She will take the Daniels Hall stage at Swallow Hill on Saturday, February 23 at 8 p.m.

An accomplished singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Larkin has built a reputation as a musician's musician. The Chicago Tribune praises her, "Patty Larkin is one of the most gifted performers in music today. Alone with her guitar, Larkin rocks as hard as many bands ... A remarkable guitarist, an imaginative and versatile vocalist, Larkin turns in a riveting performance."

A recipient of 11 Boston Music Awards, an honorary Doctorate of Music degree from Berklee College of Music, a Distinguished Alumnae award also from Berklee, and "Patty Larkin Appreciation Day," a proclamation by Boston's mayor, are among her many accolades. Her talents have not been lost on Hollywood and her songs have been featured in the movies The First Twenty Million, Evolution, Random Hearts, and Sliding Doors. Hailed for her acoustic guitar wizardry and blazing wit, Larkin has never hesitated to expand her musical horizons.
